Teaching Philosophy:

Learning is an active activity, not a passive one. So don't expect to get much from consuming lectures and regurgitating factoids. As a teacher, my job is to get you thinking critically about and discussing texts and ideas. As a student, your job is to do a whole lot of discussing and writing.
